- please check the Calendar.
Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned Tanguero/Tanguera
feel free to come along to The Lesser Hall on
any Wednesday. There's no need to bring a partner, although they are
more than welcome, just bring some shoes
that don't stick to the floor.
We are dedicated to dancing, promoting and developing Argentine
Tango as a social dance.
Our activities include weekly dance practice sessions,
introduction sessions for beginners,
skill sharing sessions for
experienced dancers,
special workshops with visiting teachers and regular
Milongas (Tango social dances).
Because of the pleasure we have found in dancing Tango, we are
enthusiastic and passionate about sharing it with anyone who
wants to learn and experience the many facets of Argentine Tango
within the general
etiquette of the Buenos
Aires milongas.
We practice the social style of Argentine Tango. In contrast to
stage or 'medal' tango, the social dance is entirely improvised.
Our Skills Share sessions are designed to have you dancing socially
as soon as possible. The emphasis is on the 'connection' between
the leader and follower, musicality and improvisation. Our
dancers are of diverse backgrounds, nationalities and ages and
are joined together by their shared passion for the Argentine Tango.
